Maritza Rovira-Forino, Governing Board member and co-chair ex officio of the Hillsborough River Basin Board, and David Moore, District executive director, accepted the “River Rat Award” on behalf of the District’s “Rally for the River” challenge team. The District’s team tied for first place in the challenge that followed the 21st Annual Hillsborough River & Waterways Cleanup in November.
The award was presented in January at the mayor’s annual breakfast.
