Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) is committed to providing a website accessible to the public, regardless of disability. In order to further this commitment, SWFWMD staff contracted with an independent third-party (Promet Source) for an accessibility audit and review based on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 level AA.

Additionally, on June 30, 2018, Promet Source provided a comprehensive list of accessibility issues and warnings.

SWFWMD is actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of its website. In furtherance of SWFWMD’S commitment to website accessibility, we are working toward achieving conformance with level Double-A World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. Such guidelines detail voluntary best practices for ensuring assistive technology users can access the website. The guidelines also make the website more user friendly for all people.

SWFWMD does not discriminate on the basis of disability. This nondiscrimination policy involves every aspect of SWFWMD’S functions, including access to and participation in SWFWMD’s programs and activities. SWFWMD designates the Human Resources Office Chief as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Coordinator. Anyone requiring reasonable accommodation as provided for in the ADA should contact SWFWMD’S Human Resources Office Chief, 2379 Broad Street, Brooksville, Florida 34604-6899; telephone 352-796-7211, ext. 4706 or 1-800-423-1476 (FL only), ext. 4706; TDD 1-800-231-6103 (FL only); or email to ADACoordinator@WaterMatters.org
