Public Records Request

Fees May Be Assessed for Extensive Personnel Services:
Per Florida Statutes, when inspection or reproduction of records requires extensive clerical, information technology or supervisory resources, the District may assess a special service charge, in addition to any reproduction fees.  Requests totaling more than 100 copies or which require more than 30 minutes of an employee’s time, shall be presumed to require extensive personnel services.

Please note: In an ongoing effort to streamline and update processes, viewing historical permitting documentation will be changing. Document Services staff will be condensing packages and historical documents will be combined into the following:

  • Pre-Issuance Package & Plans: Documents and plans the District received prior to a permit being issued or declined. This was originally uploaded as Application & Review Packages and various plans.
  • Post Issuance Package & Plans: Documents the District received after the permit was issued, excluding as-built documentation and certain compliance packages. This was originally uploaded as Different Compliance Packages based on specific compliance numbers or document dates.

There were no changes to the following packages or plans: Agency Action, Permitted Plans, As-Built Plans, As-Built Package, Ownership Transfer, and Legal Packages & Plans. Historical compliance packages that are in storage in a folder with the associated compliance number identified will continue to be uploaded as their own compliance packages.

We anticipate this transition being complete by the end of July. If you have any questions, please Document Services staff at (352) 205-8482.
