The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) will hold a virtual public workshop at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, to discuss updates to the District’s land use rules.
The District owns more than 461,000 acres and more than 97% of District-managed lands are open to the public. The purpose of this workshop is to gather public input on the proposed changes to rules governing the use of District lands. These changes are intended to ensure the fair and equitable use of District lands and create efficiencies that improve the user experience on District lands. These updates also address emerging issues and create consistency with the other water management districts.
