Christine Owen is the Director of Water and Reuse Innovation at Hazen and Sawyer and has held this position since 2017. Owen has over 35 years of experience in research, management and implementation of water use projects, including laboratory testing, well mitigation, hydrologic monitoring, permitting, and source water assessment. 

She has more than a decade of experience working with water reuse projects. Owen has managed water-quality activities in support of drinking water treatment facilities and multi-year, multi-million-dollar research efforts. 

Owen earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and continued studies at Lehigh University and University of California, Santa Cruz. 

Owen is a member of the American Water Works Association, Water Research Foundation, WateReuse Association, American Membrane Technology Association, WateReuse Florida, Florida Section of the American Water Works Association, and National Association of Clean Water Agencies.
