Communications & Board Services Bureau Chief
As bureau chief of Communications & Board Services, Robyn Felix oversees the District’s communications and outreach to internal and external audiences, including the news media, strategic planning and support services to the District’s Executive Team and 13-member Governing Board.
Felix has more than 12 years of experience at the District serving in a variety of non-management and management roles, including Communications Specialist, Media Relations Manager and Communications Manager.
Felix began her career in television news as a satellite coordinator and assignment editor for WTSP-TV Ch 10 in St. Petersburg. She went on to join the Public Relations team at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, where she was responsible for promoting Busch Gardens throughout the world. She specialized in handling national and international television shoots in the theme park as well as organizing media days for all new attractions and major special events.
Felix earned a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications (news) from the University of Florida and is Accredited in Public Relations by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She is a graduate of Leadership Pasco, an active member of the PRSA Tampa Bay Chapter, and serves as president of the District’s Brooksville Toastmasters Club.
