What: The District’s 11th Annual “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.” Students between the ages of nine and 18 will spend the day at the District headquarters and service offices learning about activities at the District. The day, which focuses on technology and its contribution to the District’s mission, begins at 8:30 a.m. with the children meeting together to view a video of interesting facts about the future and the global workplace. Tours of five different department exhibits and demonstrations are scheduled to begin after the presentation and run until noon. The children will job shadow their parents/guardians after lunch. By participating in this national event, the District hopes to teach students about what the District does, and inspire a new generation to seek careers in water conservation and preservation.
