District Closes Serenova Tract for Disabled Hunt

News Release

The Southwest Florida Water Management District’s Serenova Tract will be closed to the public Oct. 22-24. The District is limiting access to the property to prepare for an event that allows disabled hunters the opportunity to experience the outdoors.

The hunt, which is organized by the National Wild Turkey Federation/Wheelin’ Sportsmen, is one of more than 24 events the group holds throughout Florida each year. Other outings include fishing events, recreational shooting, and other outdoor activities. The hunters for this event have already been selected. For more information about participating in future events, visit the National Wild Turkey Federation web site www.nwtf.org.

The Serenova Tract is located in Pasco County, just off S.R. 52. It is adjacent to the Tampa Bay Water Starkey wellfield.
