The "Southwest Florida Water Management District(Southwest Florida Water Management District)":/ will host a booth and will be distributing Peace River watershed protection information and the District's "Recreation Guide(Get the Recreation Guide)":/rec_guide.

Attendees will also be able to take part in hands-on activities and guided tours of the reserve. Some of the family activities include tree climbing and a butterfly tent. Inside Polk's Nature Discovery Center, attendees will be able to experience several interactive exhibits that focus on the Green Swamp, water systems and central Florida lakes.

This event is a collaborative effort between Polk County government agencies, the District, and other local municipalities, state agencies, and non-profit organizations. Representatives from these agencies and organizations will have hands-on exhibits and be available to answer questions regarding a variety of issues ranging from water conservation to gardening tips and fire prevention with Smokey Bear.
