Splash! Grant Helps Bring Water Education to Life at Lutz K-8 School
Fourth and fifth graders at Lutz K-8 School recently toured the school with clipboards in hands. Their mission: to find ways to save water in the school.
The classroom project was part of a Splash! grant the school received from the Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) to help students learn how to protect water resources through a variety of ways like water conservation.
District Reopens Airboat Slide in Citrus County
The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) has reopened the Brogden airboat slide after completing required maintenance. The airboat slide is located at the Brogden Bridge Water Control Structure on East Turner Camp Road in Citrus County. It is located between the Inverness and Hernando pools of the Tsala Apopka Chain of Lakes.
