"Get Outside!" at the Hampton Tract in northwestern Polk County

Polk County residents are invited to attend the "Southwest Florida Water Management District's(Southwest Florida Water Management District)":http://watermatters.org "Get Outside!" event at the Hampton Tract on Saturday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The free event includes family-friendly activities such as guided nature hikes, "I Spy" scavenger hunts, a native plant raffle and more.

The 11,052-acre "Hampton Tract(Hampton Tract)":http://www.swfwmd.state.fl.us/recreation/areas/greenswamp-hampton_tract… is part of the larger "Green Swamp Wilderness Preserve(Green Swamp Wilderness Preserve)":http://www.swfwmd.state.fl.us/recreation/areas/greenswamp.html. The entrance to the property is off Rock Ridge Road, seven miles northeast of Highway 98, across from Deen Still Road.

The District is inviting members of the community to ""Get Outside!"(Get outside and explore more than 50 recreation sites on conservation lands)":http://www.swfwmd.state.fl.us/recreation and get to know the property so they can come back with their friends and family.
