Recreational Opportunities
Bicycling
- Use only marked trails.
- Approximately 28 miles of multiuse trails.
- Florida law requires bicyclists under 16 to wear helmets.
Camping
- Equestrian, group and primitive camping available.
- Sites have picnic tables, fire rings and/or grills.
- Nonpotable water source available.
- A free reservation is required and must be displayed on dashboard at campground.
- Site has a picnic shelter – this is a common area, it cannot be reserved.
Equestrian Use
- Approximately 28 miles of multiuse trails.
- Riders are required to stay on marked trails.
- Each rider must carry proof of horse’s current negative Coggins test.
- Florida law requires equestrians under 16 to wear helmets.
Fishing
- Contact Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for license requirements.
Hiking
- Several miles of unimproved trails/roads available.
- Prepare for wet hiking; some trails are excessively wet during certain times of year.
Picnic Facilities
- Limited picnic facilities by entrance.

Access and Parking
- Main vehicle access on south side of Green Swamp on Rock Ridge Road, approximately 7 miles northeast of US 98.
- Day-use parking area at Hampton gate.
- ADA access and facilities available.
Restrooms and Water
- No restrooms or water available at entrance.
- Vault toilet and nonpotable water sources available at campground.
