Ed Armstrong of Dunedin is an attorney with Hill Ward Henderson in Clearwater.
Armstrong was appointed to the Governing Board in June 2014 and reappointed in July 2018. In April 2016, he was elected Board treasurer and was reelected in 2017. His term expires March 1, 2022.
A lifelong Florida resident, Armstrong graduated from Dunedin High School. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Cum Laude, from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland and a Juris doctorate degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, Tennessee.
Armstrong has been a shareholder with Hill Ward Henderson based in Clearwater and Tampa since 2013. Armstrong is a member of the American Bar Association and The Florida Bar, as well as the Clearwater Bar and Hillsborough County Bar associations.
Armstrong has extensive experience representing private sector development clients. Armstrong currently serves on the Board of Trustees for BayCare Health System and Tampa Preparatory School. Armstrong previously served two terms on the Pinellas County Charter Review Commission and is a former board chairman of the Greater Clearwater Chamber of Commerce. He is also a former trustee of Pasco-Hernando Community College and a former board chairman of the Morton Plant Mease Healthcare System.
Armstrong believes that his experience on other boards and significant community involvement will enhance his ability to serve the residents of the District as a member of the Governing Board.
Armstrong represents Pinellas County.
