Volunteers Gather for Terra Ceia Coastal Cleanup

|*What:*|As part of the 25th annual International Coastal Cleanup, the District's "SWIM Program(SWIM Program)":/projects/swim/ staff is helping coordinate a volunteer work day at the "Terra Ceia Preserve State Park(Terra Ceia Preserve State Park)":/recreation/areas/terraceia.html in Terra Ceia. Volunteers will help District staff remove trash and debris from the preserve.|

|*Additional Information:*|Volunteers will meet at the Frog Creek RV Campground, 8515 Bayshore Road, Palmetto.

The Terra Ceia habitat restoration is a project of the District's SWIM Program and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

The International Coastal Cleanup was started by the "Ocean Conservancy(Ocean Conservancy)":http://www.oceanconservancy.org. While cleanups are held year-round, the annual event held near the end of each September is the largest single-day volunteer effort of its kind.
