The Southwest Florida Water Management District’s Alston Tract, which is part of the Upper Hillsborough property, will be closed to the public Jan. 9-11. The District is limiting access to the property for an event that allows disabled hunters the opportunity to experience the outdoors during a muzzleloader gun hunt.
The Alston Tract is located east of Zephyrhills in Pasco and Polk counties. The entrance is off S.R. 39.
The event is organized by Outdoors Without Limits. This hunt is one of five outdoor events the District and Outdoors Without Limits have agreed to partner on this year.
The hunters have already been selected for this event. For more information about participating in future events, visit the Outdoors Without Limits web site at www.outdoorswithoutlimits.net.
