Media Alert: Students learn about water conservation during Hillsborough River Watershed Awareness Week

*Who:*Southwest Florida Water Management District staff, Stages Productions, kindergarten and first-grade students from Kenly Elementary School

*What:*This watershed awareness week event targets grade-school students. The goal is to teach students about the Hillsborough River watershed through an interactive theatre performance about water conservation and protection. The play “Water Pigs” is a fun take-off on the classic story of the three little pigs.

The presentation is part of “Hillsborough River Watershed Awareness Week,” which is sponsored by the Southwest Florida Water Management District, the Hillsborough River Watershed Alliance, the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Extension Office and the Florida Park Service.
