Why
The District’s sharing day gives Splash! mini-grant recipients an opportunity to demonstrate their project to District staff.
Splash! mini-grant projects offer students the opportunity to learn more about water resources through experiential learning projects. This grant program supports the District’s overriding goal of advancing superior stewardship of Florida’s precious water resources.
This is the eleventh year that Splash! mini-grants have been offered to public, private and homeschool teachers in grades pre-kindergarten through 12 within the District’s 16-county area. The grant program offers up to $5,000 per school. This school year there were 137 projects funded throughout the District, totaling approximately $322,000 and involving 94,000 students. There were a total of five Splash! mini-grants awarded in Pasco County.
