District to Hold Disabled Hunt on Hampton Tract

News Release

The Southwest Florida Water Management District’s Hampton Tract will be closed to the public March 24-26. The District is limiting access to the property to prepare for an event that allows disabled hunters the opportunity to experience the outdoors.

The hunt, which is organized by the National Wild Turkey Federation/Wheelin’ Sportsmen, is one of more than 24 events the group holds throughout Florida each year. Other outings include fishing events, recreational shooting, and other outdoor activities. The hunters for this event have already been selected. For more information about participating in future events, visit the National Wild Turkey Federation web site www.nwtf.org.

The Hampton Tract is located in Polk County, at the intersection of Rockridge Road and Deen Still Road.
