Children learn that it's "Hip to be Outside" at annual "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day"

|*What:*|The District's 14th Annual "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day." Students between the ages of nine and 18 will spend the day at the "District headquarters(Google map)":http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q=2379+Broad+Street,+Brooksville,+FL… and service offices learning about District careers. This year will focus on encouraging the youth to take advantage of all the opportunities "District lands(Get outside and explore more than 50 recreation sites on conservation lands.)":http://www.swfwmd.state.fl.us/recreation/ provide.

The opening ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. Following the ceremony, the students will visit an outside area featuring educational exhibits and demonstrations.

The children will job shadow their parents/guardians after lunch, and vote for their favorite demonstration, which will receive the "Kids Choice Award" at the end of the day.
