Please ensure you have completed all New Hire Paperwork provided during the on-boarding process.
On your first day of employment, you must present “acceptable documents” for identification as described on page 9 of the Instructions for Form I-9.
Benefits
The Benefit Guide provides an overview of your benefit options. Insured benefits are effective on the first day of the month following your start date. To ensure timely enrollment into your desired options, review the benefit guide and be prepared to make your elections during your first week of employment.
Note: Please be advised, it may take up to four weeks from the receipt of your benefits enrollment before your benefits are activated. Use of your benefit(s) between your effective date and the receipt of your identification card may result in out-of-pocket expenses that will be reimbursed upon request.
Student Internship Program – Students are not eligible for any benefits.

Welcome Brochure
The District is a member of the Florida Retirement System (FRS) which offers two retirement plans, a traditional pension and an investment plan. New employees are mailed information directly from FRS and have eight months from the commencement of employment to make a plan election.
Deferred Compensation
- Nationwide Deferred Compensation - The District offers a 457(b) plan to help employees save for long-term objectives, such as generating retirement income. Employees can enroll any time through the provider's website.
