Public Records Requests

Pursuant to Board Policy & The District’s Executive Director Procedure, Records & Information Management Program, Peggy Meinhardt is designated as the Custodian of Public Records for the Southwest Florida Water Management District. (F.S 119.12 (2))

Fees

The District's administrative fees are established in accordance with Chapter 119.07(4) and Chapter 373, Florida Statutes.

When the nature or volume of a public records request requires extensive clerical, information technology, or supervisory resources, the District may assess a special service charge in addition to any applicable duplication costs. Requests requiring more than 30 minutes of employee time or more than 100 copies shall be presumed to require extensive personnel services. A copy of the District's Administrative Fee Schedule is available upon request.

Personal Information

Under Florida law, you are not required to submit a public records request in writing or to identify yourself. You may make a verbal request for public records by calling the Public Records Request Line at (352) 205-8482 or 1-800-423-1476 (FL only). As an alternative, you can use this online form when requesting records. At a minimum, please provide contact information so we can respond to your request.
