The District is hoping to increase efficiencies and save taxpayer dollars by returning surplus parcels of land to the private sector.

At its August 13 meeting, the Southwest Florida Water Management District’s Coastal Rivers Basin Board adopted a fiscal year 2010 (FY2010) millage rate of 0.1885 mill, which is the same as the current fiscal year. The Southwest Florida Water Management District is about to begin a three-year restoration project at J.B. Starkey Wilderness Preserve.
