“Get Outside!”
The District launched the “Get Outside!” campaign in 2009 to promote the many recreational opportunities available to the public on District lands. Getting outside is a fun, easy and low-cost way to spend time with your family and friends.
Community Events
As part of the campaign, the District hosts community events to showcase District lands with the hope that those attending come back with family and friends to enjoy them on their own. The free events include family-friendly activities such as guided nature hikes, scavenger hunts, boat tours and more.
