In December 2009 the District launched its integrated “Skip a Week” water conservation campaign. This campaign was based on the lessons learned from a prior irrigation pilot as well as additional research conducted to gather information around attitudes and behaviors regarding water conservation and irrigation practices. The “Skip a Week” campaign ran through February 2010. This summary details background, purpose, methods, strategies, results and social marketing practices used in this campaign.
