Restore America’s Estuaries, Southwest Florida Water Management District and Tampa Bay Watch


Restore America’s Estuaries’ 6th National Conference on Coastal and Estuarine Habitat Restoration kicks off on Saturday, October 20 at the Tampa Convention Center. The conference is expected to bring together approximately 1,000 attendees and exhibitors from around the world.

150 conference attendees will have the opportunity to help restore a local salt marsh by planting more than 10,000 plugs of marsh grass in the newly created 45-acre estuarine wetland at the Cockroach Bay Aquatic Preserve.

When: Saturday, October 20, 9 a.m.-noon

Where: Cockroach Bay Aquatic Preserve, 3709 Gulf City Road, Ruskin, FL 33570

Directions: If traveling south, take exit 240B. If traveling north, take exit 240. Head west on SR 674 toward US 41. Take US 41 south to Cockroach Bay Road. Travel west on Cockroach Bay Road. Turn right onto Gulf City Road.
