Upon completion of Lake Panasoffkee’s restoration in fall 2008, the lake level was allowed to fluctuate naturally to ensure its health. The naturally fluctuating water levels contribute to healthy eelgrass coverage and fish populations in the lake.
The District monitors the environmental conditions of Lake Panasoffkee and tracks the results of the restoration project. The following bi-weekly updates provide current information about Lake Panasoffkee and the operation of the Wysong-Coogler water conservation structure.
