Take the Clean Springs Pledge

Recent studies have shown that nitrate levels are rising in many local water bodies. Nitrate is a form of nitrogen found in inorganic fertilizers. Improper fertilizing is one reason the quality of our springs is declining.

Pledge to follow one or more of these fertilizing tips and receive a FREE rain gauge.

Don’t fertilize before a heavy rain.

Sweep up any spilled fertilizer and place it back in the fertilizer bag.

Use only slow-release fertilizer

Leave a 10-foot no-pesticide, no-fertilizer zone around water bodies.

Hire only certified landscape professionals.

Always follow package directions.
