Population Projections — Political and Geographic Boundaries of the District

Each year the District generates population projections for the 16 counties wholly or partially under its jurisdiction. These population projections contain only those population sectors included in census counts*.

* Population projections are based upon GIS Associates' 2010 property parcel-based population estimates summarized by county and WMD boundaries (SWFWMD - Planning Department, 2011) and the Bureau of Economic and Business Research’s Projections of Florida Population by County. These projections are used primarily for budgeting purposes.
