As assistant director of the Resource Management Division, Eric DeHaven is responsible for assisting the division director with daily operations as well as providing focus on agricultural initiatives and projects, minimum flows and levels establishment and recovery, and Cooperative Funding Initiative activities and projects.
DeHaven began his career at the District in 1987 as a field technician. He has served as manager of the Water Quality Monitoring Program and the Resource Data Section. He was also director of the Resource Data and Restoration Department and bureau chief of the Natural Systems & Restoration.
DeHaven is a registered professional geologist in Florida and Tennessee and holds bachelor’s degrees in geology and geography from DePauw University, Indiana (1984), and a master’s degree in geology from the University of South Florida (1987).
