Judith C. Whitehead

Judith C. “Judy” Whitehead of Brooksville is the owner of Residential Appraisal Service.

Before being appointed to the Governing Board in March 2003, Whitehead had served as a member of the District’s Coastal Rivers Basin Board since March 2001. She began serving as Board secretary in May 2004 and was elected treasurer in May 2005. In May 2006, she was elected Board vice chair. In May 2007, she was elected Board chair. In April 2008, Whitehead was reassigned to represent Hernando and Marion counties. Her term ends March 1, 2012.

Whitehead graduated from Hernando High School in Brooksville in 1962. She attended the Business University of Tampa from 1962 to 1963. She is a state certified real estate appraiser in the state of Florida.

Whitehead is a native Floridian and has spent most of her life along the coast in west-central Florida. Prior to real estate appraising, she sold real estate for eight years. Her family is originally from Citrus County.
